Eristocrat Inc. is an interactive design and development group dedicated to providing solutions to our clients that encourage communication with their clients. We work from the belief that users and consumers are eager to offer feedback, eager to tell you how they want to be served. We help create interactive experiences that get your consumers talking to you, while making it easy for you to manage an agile web presence so you can react quickly to their evolving needs. History
Our team has been designing and developing websites and other interactive experiences (entertainment software, online advertising, microsites, etc.) professionally since 1999. The core of our team is built around business strategy and online development. We have a growing stable of designers that we choose from when developing a new online experience. We do our best to match the styles, preferences and abilities of our team to the needs and desires of our clients. Our disparate backgrounds help us combine unique perspectives and experiences to deliver custom solutions for you.
Philosophy
Interaction. Dialog. Communication. Eristocrat strongly believes that users are expecting more from the online experiences of the companies with which they deal. Users have voices and they want to be heard. Today the interactive community is focused on social media, encouraging users to develop communities and form new relationships together. This has created an expectation in today's online community that they will be listened to. We at Eristocrat are consumers as much as you are, and we too want to be heard. Our philosophy is focused on creating experiences where you can engage your users in a dialog about your product and their experiences.
If talking with your customers is so important, why talk to only a select few? We pay attention to obscure web concepts like accessibility, open standards and information sharing. We started working with the web when it was nothing more than a wide open network of people sharing information about themselves, their interests and their work. We still believe that information is made more valuable the more widely it is shared. We do care about web visitors that have problems seeing, we care about users that aren't comfortable yet with the web or who are using older technology. Everyone has a voice, and we focus on accessibility and usability in every site we design.
We are guided by a philosophy when interacting with our clients as well, which is built on mutual trust. We know that you are good at what you do, we know that you know your company or product far better than we ever will. In return for sharing that expertise we can promise to engage only in open, honest communication. We are good at what we do, and we won't lead you astray or pretend to know answers when we don't. Methodology
The way we work with our clients to develop solutions is similar to the scientific method you learned about in school. We begin every project by immersing ourselves in your company and your competition. We study what your consumers are used to, what they seem to want and what options they have. We educate ourselves, we research your industry and we observe users. We ask a lot of questions in the beginning; understanding your company and your goals is so important to us we have created tools that help us ask the right questions about your company to find out every detail we need.
Once we understand the project, we offer detailed descriptions of any proposed solutions and point out where things are flexible. Every project lives within constraints of time and budget, and we are aware of that. We set reasonable expectations from the start, no over-promising and under-delivering here!
In our vast experience we have worked with clients spanning many different experience levels. If you aren't up to date on the latest web trends and acronyms, even if this is the first website you've ever launched, we are both patient and eager to help you understand the potential return of an online presence and are happy to manage as much or as little of the process for you as you would like.
